Bhadrak: Police on Sunday busted two fake gutkha manufacturing units in Bhadrak district and arrested four persons in this connection.
The arrested have been identified as Shaikh Umeed, Shaikh Lalu, Shaikh Ali and Shaikh Karimulla.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team conducted raids on Sarkar Nagar and Chandan Bazaar here. Following the search, a huge quantity of spurious gutkha, a manufacturing machine, bottles containing chemical colours and other equipment were recovered from the two places.
The illegal units used to pack gutkha in packets with labels of different branded companies and sell the same in market. These have been operating since a long time, police sources said.
