Two From Bhubaneswar Among 12 New COVID-19 Deaths In Odisha, Toll Rises To 259

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 12 more COVID-19 deaths on Saturday, taking the total toll to 259.

The Health and Welfare Department informed that all the deceased were suffering from comorbid conditions.

According to the department, two deaths each were reported from Ganjam, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, and Bhubaneswar and one each in Sundargarh, Balasore, Bargarh and Gajapati.

The deceased were identified them as

1. A 60-year-old male of Bargarh district who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
2. A 55-year-old female of Sundergarh district who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
3. A 67-year-old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from hypertension, Parkinsonis and benign prostatic hyperplasia.
4. A 57-year-old male of Balasore district who was also suffering from diabetes.
5. A 55-year-old male of Kandhamal district who was also suffering from diabetes.
6. A 60-year-old male of Kandhamal district who was also suffering from diabetes.
7. A 79-year-old male of Keonjhar district who was also suffering from hypertension & atrial fibrillation.
8. A 59-year-old male of Gajapati district who was also suffering from hypertension and ischemic heart disease.
9. A 61-year-old female of Ganjam district who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
10. A 60-year-old male of Keonjhar district who was also suffering from diabetes, hypertension and coronary artery disease.
11. A 60-year-old male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
12. A 48-year-old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from diabetes and UTI.

With these 12 deaths, the virus has so far claimed 125 lives in Ganjam district, 33 in Khurda, 17 in Sundargarh, 16 in Gajapati, 11 in Cuttack, 10 in Rayagada, four each in Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Bhadrak and Puri, three each in Balasore, Kendrapada, two each in Sambalpur, Bargarh, Malkangiri, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Kalahandi and Angul and one each in Jhasuguda, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, and Dhenkanal.
