Bhubaneswar: Two teachers from Odisha have been selected to receive this year’s prestigious National Teachers’ Awards 2025, the Ministry of Education has announced.
The two selected teachers are Md. Zafar Alam of Eklavya Model Residential School, Karanjia, in Mayurbhanj district and Padaraj Umakanta Nayak of Government High School at Alipingal in Jagatsinghpur district.
They are among 48 schoolteachers from across the country who will be felicitated with the National Teachers Awards-2026 by the President on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on September 5.
The awardees will get a cash award of Rs 50,000, a silver medal and a certificate of merit at the award ceremony to be held at New Delhi on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on September 5 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the eminent philosopher, academic, and former President of India.
