Jharsuguda: Two businessmen from Rajasthan reportedly went missing while bathing in Ib river in Odisha’s Jharsiguda district on Friday.
According to police sources, the two traders, identified as Sohan Palewal and Mangilal Palewal along with some of their friends had gone to take bath in the river in Brajrajnagar town of the district.
While they were bathing in the river, Sohan and Mangilal were driven by a strong current into deep water. They went missing as their friends watched them helplessly.
On being informed by them, a team from Gandhsi Chhak police station in the town and Fire services personnel went to the river and started a search operation. But the Fire personnel had failed to trace the two missing traders till evening, they sources said.
Sohan and Mangilal were running a jalebi shop at Gandhi Chhak for some time, they added.
