At present, 12 gates are open to release floodwater.
While the inflow of floodwater into the reservoir is 1.799 lakh cusecs, the outflow is 2 lakh cusecs.
The water level of the dam by 6 am was 605.54 feet.
Due to the release of floodwater, the water level of Mahanadi in the lower catchments has gone up at Khairmal and Mundali.
