Two Toddlers Die After Falling Into Water-Filled Pit In Odisha

Sambalpur: Two girls aged around 3 died after accidentally falling into a water-filled pit at Kalapada village in Odisha’s Sambalpur district on Friday.

According to sources, family members found the girls, identified as Ichcha and Disha, missing this afternoon. After an hour of search, the body of one of the girls was found floating in the pit dug out in the neighbourhood for storing water for the construction of a building. The body of the other girl was then fished out of the pit.

Goshala outpost police have seized the bodies and investigating the matter.
