Cuttack: The Commissionerate Police on Wednesday arrested two gun peddlers and their five associates and seized seven country-made guns along with 65 rounds of live bullets from their possession.
Briefing mediapersons, Police Commissioner Soumendra Priyadarshi said acting on a tip-off, a team of Chauliaganj Police raided a nearby field near Kaliaboda Mutt and arrested the two peddlers Bijay Nayak and his associate Jaga Das and five associates.
He said Nayak, one of the accused in the murder of dreaded gangster of Kendrapada district Sk Sulaiman, was recently released on bail from the Choudwar Circle Jail.
