Bhawanipatna: Police have detained two persons for allegedly practising sorcery to find ‘hidden treasure’ in Kalahandi district.
According to reports, around nine persons were performing witchcraft at a farmland in Rankabahal village under Dharmagarh police station on Monday night. While they were digging the land, some villagers spotted them. Suspecting the group’s activities, the villagers tried to nab them. But they could catch hold of two persons while seven others managed to flee.
The captured persons are Jogeswar Bachha and Sarat Sarkhel. They reportedly told that they were performing sorcery to find ‘hidden treasure’ at the spot.
On being informed, police reached the village, detained the two persons in the police station for questioning.
