Berhampur: The human gesture of two home guards to a helpless old woman has earned appreciation of the people of the city.
While on duty, the home guards saw the old woman unable to cross the busy road in front of the office of Berhampur SP on Thursday morning. They rushed to her help by accompanying her to the other side of the road. As they were about to leave her, she sat down on the road.
Apprehending that she may be having some problem, the home guards enquired about her health and came to know that she was ill and unable to walk. One home guard brought his bike and took the old woman to her house.
The passersby and the locals who witnessed the entire incident were all praise for the two home guards who went out of their way to come to the help of an unknown woman.
