Balasore: Two persons suffered burn injuries in an explosion at a cracker-making unit in Balikudi village under Baliapal police limits of Balasore district on Friday.
According to reports, the victims were engaged in making crackers while the explosion took place.
One among those injured identified as Narendra Ghadei (80) was rushed to the district headquarters hospital in a critical condition.
Though the exact cause of the mishap is yet to be known, some local residents suspect that the explosion occurred due to friction among chemicals.
