Nabarangpur: Two persons suffered burn injuries in an explosion at a cracker-making unit in Umerkote of Nabarabgpur district on Sunday evening.
According to reports, the victims were making crackers when the explosion took place. They were rescued by some locals and admitted to Nabarangpur hospital in a critical condition.
The police rushed to the spot after receiving information regarding the mishap.
Though the exact reason behind the mishap is yet to be known, locals suspect that the explosion occurred due to friction among the chemicals. The matter is being invstigated, a police officer said.
