Rayagada: Tension ran high at JK Pur in Rayagada district following a violent clash between two groups during immersion of Ganesh idol on Monday. Two persons were injured in the incident.
Heavy police force has been deployed in the area to prevent any flare-ups.
According to reports, both groups have lodged complaints at Chandili police station.
Police and some local residents suspect the incident to be the fallout of past enmity.
