Sambalpur: In a tragic incident, two women were killed and 10 were injured after a mini truck carrying them overturned near Hero village under Jujumara police limits in Sambalpur district on Saturday. According to sources, the accident took place, while more than 30 passengers were going from Nuamunda village to see an injured elephant at Nuabarangamal in the mini truck. The truck overturned as the truck driver lost control of the vehicle near Tusarkata Square.
The deceased have been identified as Subha Mirdha (54) and Jaymati Mirdha (35). The injured persons were admitted to the district headquarters hospital. Two of them were shifted to the Burla Hospital in a critical condition.
