Mayurbhanj: Two persons were killed and as many sustained critical injuries when their motorcycle collided head-on with a tractor at Kaladai Chhak in Udala of Mayurbhanj district on Monday evening.
The injured were rescued by some locals and admitted to a nearby hospital.
The accident took place when the biker with four persons riding pillion lost control over the two-wheeler, a local resident said.
In Angul district, a man died after the boat in which he was travelling capsized in Rengali dam. The mishap occurred when the deceased, identified as Mahendra Agaria, had gone fishing in deep waters.
