Bhadrak: Two passengers were killed and over 30 were injured after a bus collided head-on with a truck at Bant Chhak on NH-16 in Bhadrak district on Friday morning.
According to sources, the accident took place when over 50 people were returning from Dhamnagar in a bus after attending a festival. Fire Services personnel soon reached the spot and rescued the victims from the mangled remains of the bus.
The injured, five among whom were critical, were initially admitted to the Bhadrak district headquarters hospital for treatment. The five persons were later shifted to the SCB Hospital in Cuttack and Balasore district headquarters hospital, the sources added.
