Koraput: Two persons were killed and another sustained grievous injury after two motorcycles collided head-on near Doliamba Bridge under Ko
raput Sadar area in Odisha on Saturday.
According to preliminary information, the accident occurred when the two motorcycles dashed against each other near the bridge. While two persons reportedly died on the spot due to the impact of the collision, another youth sustained critical injury in the mishap.
Sources said the deceased were residents of Pali Machhara village in Dashmantapur block. The bodies were later sent for postmortem examination.
The injured youth is stated to be a resident of Mahadeiput village under Koraput Sadar. He was rushed to the Koraput District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), where he is undergoing treatment.
After receiving information, a team from Koraput Sadar Police Station reached the spot, recovered the bodies, and launched an investigation.
