Two Killed As Trucks Collide, Catch Fire In Odisha’s Anugola



Anugola: Two persons were killed after two trucks collided head-on on National Highway-149 in Kaniha area of Odisha’s


Anugola district on Saturday.

According to sources, the fatal mishap took place near Saradhapur under the jurisdiction of Samal police station in Kaniha block of the district.

Following the collision, a major fire broke out and engulfed both trucks. The intensity of the blaze was so high that the vehicles were badly damaged.

The driver of one of the trucks and another person died after the collision. Both were residents of Jharkhand.

The mishap led to disruption of vehicular movement on the highway as the burning trucks blocked the road.

After receiving information, a team from Samal police station along with Fire Service personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.

Police have launched an investigation into the accident.
