Rourkela: Two persons were killed while five sustained critical injuries after a private bus rammed a stationary truck near Chandiposh in Odisha’s Sundargarh district in the early hours of Monday.
Sources said, the bus, which headed for Rourkela from Bhubaneswar, crashed into the truck near a roadside eatery at Chandiposh. Two people died on the spot. One of the deceased was identified as bus owner Satya Prakash Nayak of Rourkela while the other was a 12/13-year-old girl.
The injured were admitted to Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) and later shifted to Jay Prakash Hospital as their condition worsened.
Meanwhile, police seized the bodies and sent them to RGH for postmortem. An investigation in underway.
