Nabarangpur: Two persons died following a head-on collision between two two-wheelers near Glaze Hotel and Resorts at Chauriaguda of Odisha’s Nabarangpur district late on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Trilochan Jani and Amit Bagh.
According to police sources, the accident took place when Trilochan, who worked at a roadside eatery in Ahuli village in the Podaguda area of Koraput district, was returning home to Nabarangpur town on a scooter. Amit, who hailed from nearby Bada Daibhatta village, too was returning home on a motorcycle, after purchasing decoration items for the upcoming Christmas festivity and New Year from Nabarangpur.
Nabarangpur Police reached the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem. The scooter and the motorcycle were also seized.
