Bhubaneswar: Two persons were killed in a head-on collision between a car and an MUV on NH-16 near Khurda Collector’s office on Friday morning.
The deceased were identified as Ayub Khan and Mohammad Akhtar Hussain.
The accident, being attributed to over speeding, took place around 10 am. The stretch witnessed traffic jam for nearly two hours and it eased only after both the vehicles were removed from the accident spot.
“The vehicles were completely damaged under the impact of the crash. Investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accident,” a police officer informed.
