Jharsuguda: In a tragic incident, two persons were killed after being hit by a car at Kurusinga under Kulabira block in Jharsuguda district on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Raju Kisan and Jagdish Bhainsal.
According to available information, the accident took place while Raju was returning home on a motorcycle with his neighbour Jagdish after distributing his daughter’s wedding invitation cards.
The driver of the car fled the spot immediately after the accident.
On being informed by some locals, police rushed to the spot and seized the bodies.
The local residents demanded adequate compensation for the family of the deceased and action against the car driver.
