Two Killed As Truck Rams Into Roadside Shop In Kendrapara

Kendrapara: Two persons were killed after a Hyva truck rammed into a roadside shop located at Crossing Chhack on National Highway-5 under Marshaghai police station limits late on Wednesday night.

Following the incident, the driver of the vehicle and the shopkeeper, identified as Balakrushna Jena, sleeping inside the shop were critically injured.

Receiving information about the mishap from locals, police rushed to the spot, rescued the victims and took them to Marshaghai community health centre where the doctors declared them brought dead.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident took place when the truck driver lost control the vehicle apparently due to over-speeding.

The front portion of the truck was also damaged after the mishap.
