Berhampur: In a tragic incident, two labourers were killed in a mishap
at a crusher unit located at Gurundi village in Berhampur of Ganjam
district on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Babu and Kalia, two siblings hailing
from Palasi village.
According to sources, the tragic incident took place after a wall
collapsed after it was hit by a tractor that was reversing inside the
unit.
Police, who reached the spot after being informed about the incident,
started investigation. They suspect that the mishap occurred due to
negligence on the part of the driver of the vehicle.
Other workers of the unit demanded a thorough inquiry and action
against those responsible over the labourers’ death.
