Jeypore: Two labourers were killed and another sustained critical injuries when a huge chunk of mud fell on them near Khialaguda under Borigumma block in Koraput district on Thursday.
The deceased have been identified as Iswar Bhumia and Dambaru Pujari of Nuaguda village in the district.
The injured person was admitted to Borigumma hospital for treatment.
According to available information, the mishap took place when the labourers were engaged in digging and loading soil from the mountain in a tractor for transportation to several places.
Receiving information about the incident, fire personnel rushed to the spot and pulled the bodies out of the mud.
