Two Minors Drown In Odisha’s Nuapada

Nuapada: Two minor boys drowned while bathing in a pond in Sinapali area of Odisha’s Nuapada district on Friday. The deceased have been identified as Brusabh Bandichhor and Amit Bandichhor.

Sources said, Brusabh and Amit went to Jharni pond in the village to take a bath. As the two did not return home, their family members searched for them and finally rescued them from the pond.

However, the two died on the way to hospital. “Before the children were brought to the hospital, they had died,” said Monjai Priyadarshini, medical officer of Sinapalli community health centre.

Meanwhile, local residents have demanded government assistance to the bereaved families.
