Rourkela: Two more areas in the city were declared as micro containment zone due to rise in COVID-19 positive cases on Friday.
Commissioner, Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC), Dibyajyoti Parida declared some areas of B Block of Sector-20 of Steel Township and parts of Jagada under the RMC as micro containment zone. Steps have been taken for active contract tracing and containing the spread of coronavirus.
As per the norms, movement of public transport and private vehicles and people has been stopped in the two areas. The inhabitants have been told to strictly remain in their houses. The supply of essential items and medical requirements will be ensured through the teams of SAIL-RSP and RMC.
