Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Sunday arrested two more accused from Tumudibandha area in Kandhamal district in the murder of a sweet stall owner in Samantarapur area under Lingaraj police limits on October 4.
During the investigation, police have found that the two accused Shritik and Asutosh had received money from the six accused who have been arrested earlier for the murder.
The police had arrested Dilip Behera, his father Bauria Behera and his wife. Besides, two other accused Rashmi Ranjan Barik and Satya Ranjan Barik, who had helped the arrested persons abscond after the murder, were arrested from Puri. Apart from these five persons, Dilip’s son Raja had surrendered before the police on October 8.
The incident had taken place in the afternoon of October 4 when two bike-borne miscreants chased sweet stall owner Sambhu Sahu and killed him on the spot with a sharp weapon.
