Bhubaneswar: Two lives were lost to COVID-19 on Saturday as Odisha saw the biggest spike of 1374 cases.
According to the Health & Family Welfare Department, the fresh fatalities were reported from Balangir and Kendrapada districts.
The COVID patients, who died while undergoing treatment in hospitals, have been identified as:
1.A 77-year-old male of Balangir district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Chronic Kidney Disease on Haemodialysis.
2.A 74-year-old female of Kendrapada district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
With this, the COVID-19 toll in Odisha has touched 1,926. The state now has 7003 active cases.
