Bhubaneswar: Two more persons from Bhubaneswar tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Sunday, taking Odisha’s count to 23.
The Health and Family Welfare Department in a tweet identified them as a 70-year-old man of Kapila Prasad Housing Board Colony Phase II, who had returned from Australia on March 22 and is in home quarantine and the other a 29-year-old man of Bomikhal, who was diagnosed with the infection during active surveillance.
With this, the number of positive cases in Bhubaneswar, which is slowly turning into a potential COVID-19 hotspot, rose to 16. Two among them have recovered and have been discharged from hospitals.
Three brothers from Bomikhal had tested positive for the deadly virus on Friday. Eight other cases have been reported from Surya Nagar area.
