Two NTPC Employees Crushed To Death By Truck In Odisha’s Sundargarh

Sundargarh: A truck ran over two NTPC employees, killing them on the spot, at Balijori Chhak under Sadar police limits in Sundargarh district on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Sasmita Kabiraj and Suryakant. Sasmita was posted at NTPC Super Thermal Power Station at Darlipali, and Suryakant was working at NTPC Coal Mine at Dulanga.

According to sources, the two-wheeler they were riding collided with a truck around 10 am. The two fell down under the impact of the collision and were crushed to death under the wheels of the heavy vehicle. The truck driver fled the spot leaving the vehicle behind after the mishap.

On being informed, police reached the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem. The truck has been seized.
