Bhubaneswar: In a reshuffle of senior police officers, the Odisha Government on Tuesday appointed new Superintendents of Police (SP) for some districts.
The reshuffle was effected among IPS as well as OPS officers.
Prahlad Sahai Meena, AIGP in the State Police Headquarters, has been appointed as the SP of Boudh district, while Pramod Kumar Rath, DCP Crime, Police Commissionerate, Bhubaneswa-Cuttack, has been posted as the SP Deogarh district, official sources said.
Chittaranjan Samant, SP in the Special Branch, has been appointed as SP, Computer, Bhubaneswar.
Similarly, Sudam Charan Sahoo, Additional SP, Barbil, will take charge as DCP Crime in Police Commissionerate, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack.
Syed Mujibur Rahaman, OPS, Additional SP, Bonai, has been posted as SP, Signals in Cuttack, while Kishore Kumar Panigrahi, Additional DCP, Police Commissionerate, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, appointed as SP, STF, Bhubaneswar.
Likewise, Gyana Ranjan Mohapatra, Additional SP, Intelligence Organization, has been posted as SP, Special Branch, the sources added.
