Bhubaneswar: Odisha cadre IAS officers Manoj Ahuja and Arti Ahuja were among six senior bureaucrats who got new postings on Tuesday following approval of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
According to a notification issued by the Union Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Arti Ahuja, a 1990 batch IAS officer, who was serving as Additional Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, would join as Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petro-Chemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers.
Similarly, Manoj Ahuja, also a 1990 batch IAS officer, who was functioning as Chairman, Central Board of Secondary Education, has been posted as OSD, Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare. He would take over as Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, upon superannuation of Sanjay Agarwal on March 31. It may be mentioned that Manoj and Arti are a couple and have previously served the Odisha government in different capacities.
Further, S Kishore has been transferred from Special Secretary, Department of Commerce, as Chairman, Staff Selection Commission, while CMD, REC Limited, Sanjay Malhotra, has been appointed Secretary, Department of Financial Services. Special Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, Alkesh Kumar Sharma has been made Special Secretary (Coordination), Cabinet Secretariat. Additional Secretary, Central Vigilance Commission, P Daniel, has been posted as Secretary, Central Vigilance Commission.
