Chennai/Bhubaneswar: In a brutal incident, two Odisha youth were allegedly killed by some unidentified persons at Veppadai in Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu, police said.
The victim’s bodies with their heads smashed and lying on the roadside were noticed by passers-by who later informed the police, news agency PTI reported.
The two have been identified as Munna and Dhubalish from Odisha, according to police. They were reportedly employed at a local spinning mill.
Police suspect they could have been involved in a brawl, but are probing the matter from various angles.
Police have formed multiple teams to probe the incident. Fingerprint experts and a sniffer dog unit were deployed to the site and gathered certain clues. The bodies were sent to the Namakkal Government Hospital for postmortem.
