Nabarangpur: Two women of a family died and two other members fell ill after consuming mango kernel at Mania Padar village under Jharigaon block in Nabarangpur district on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Namita Santa and Sudhamani Santa.
Those ill are undergoing treatment at the district headquarters hospital. Their condition is stated to be critical.
According to sources, soon after consuming mango kernel along with millet in their house, the victims complained of loose motion and vomiting.
While Namita died in the house, Sudhamani, who was taken to the hospital, breathed her last while undergoing treatment there.
