Jagatsinghpur: Two members of a family were killed when the lightning struck them in the district on Sunday.
According to sources, Bishnu Charan Bahalia and Pramod Kumar Bahalia of Biridi had gone to perform the funeral rites of their relative Usharani Bahalia on the banks of Debi river when lightning struck the area. Both Bishnu and Pramod died in the lightning strike on the spot.
Later, the villagers and relatives of Bishnu and Pramod recovered the bodies. On being informed, police went to the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
