Two Pilgrims Killed, 20 Injured As Bus Rams Into Truck In Bhadrak

Bhadrak: Two pilgrims were killed and 20 others injured after the bus in which they were travelling rammed into a bamboo-laden truck near Charampa on NH-16 in Bhadrak district late on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as Ram Sagar Yadav, driver of the bus and Shibnarayan Pati, a passenger.

Those injured were rescued by locals and rushed to the district headquarters hospital for treatment. A woman, who was grievously injured in the accident, has been shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

The incident took place at around 2:30 am. The ill-fated vehicle was on its way to Puri, carrying more than 50 passengers hailing from Barabanki of Uttar Pradesh.
