Watch: Ship Suffers Damage In Collision As Nor’wester Hits Paradip Port

Paradip: A ship was badly damaged after being hit by another at Paradip Port on Friday night.

According to available information, the incident took place when a ship named ‘Dariya Devi’ of Hong Kong was waiting to berth. Another ship that was also berthed a short distance away from it got detached from its anchor due to heavy wind and dashed against the other.

Following the collision, the ‘Dariya Devi’ ship developed a big hole in the lower portion.

However, the reaction of the port authorities could not be obtained in connection with the matter.
