Jajpur: Two shops were reduced to ashes in a major fire at Gopabandhu Square in Jajpur district on Thursday morning.
Getting information, fire personnel rushed to the spot and put out the flames.
“No injury or casualty was reported in the incident. Though the reason behind the fire is yet to be known, an electric short circuit might have led to the mishap. However, investigation is underway to determine that,” a fire official said.
According to local residents, the blaze started from one of the shops and later spread to another.
