Bhadrak: In an audacious robbery, unidentified miscreants have looted two shops located right in front of the office of the Superintendent of Police at Bhadrak town in Odisha.
According to reports, ready-made garments, leather bags, several other materials and cash have been looted from the shops. While ready-made garments are sold in one of the shops, the other one deals with bags made of leather and other materials.
Teams from Bhadrak Town police station have reached the spot and launched an investigation after receiving complaints from the traders.
Sources said both the shops were closed for the last few days due to some reason. When the traders opened their shops on Saturday evening, they found that garments, bags and several other articles as well as cash had been stolen.
It was found that the thieves had entered after breaking the skylights at the rear of the shops and committed the crime.
While investigation by the police is in progress, the incident has trigered concern among the locals about safety and security of people and their properties as the robbery has taken place right opposite the SP’s office.
