Two Snatchers Nabbed At Bhubaneswar Rly Station

Bhubaneswar: Khurda Road Division RPF arrested two snatchers at Bhubaneswar railway station on Monday night.

According to the sources, three criminals tried to snatch valuables from a passenger in the old PRS area of Bhubaneswar railway station at around 2.30 pm.

When the passenger resisted, they tried to strangulate him. But Divisional Special Task Force (STF) team member T K Mahapatra acted swiftly and saved the passengers from the clutches of the criminals.

Meanwhile, other members also arrived on the spot and managed to nab two of the attackers while one managed to flee.

In the scuffle, Mahapatra suffered head injury and was admitted to Divisional Railway Hospital at Khurda Road.

The snatchers have been handed over to GRP/Bhubaneswar for further action.
