Two more succumb to swine flu, toll rises to 13

Bhubaneswar: The swine flu death toll in Odisha this year rose to 13 with two more persons succumbing to the H1N1 virus on Friday.
The day also saw 20 fresh cases being detected from 52 swabs sent for examination, taking the number of those infected with the influenza virus to 204.
The positive cases were reported from SUM Hospital (4), SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack (3), two each from Apollo Hospital, KIIMS, Kalinga Hospital, Kar Clinic and one each from CARE Hospital, Capital Hospital, Neelachal, AMRI and MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.
So far, 589 samples have tested for swine flu.
Government sources said that the three medical colleges, Capital Hospital and all district headquarters hospitals are fully prepared to treat the affected persons.
