Ten passengers were reportedly injured after two trains collided head-on at Kacheguda Railway Station in Hyderabad on Monday morning.
According to South Central Railway officials, an MMTS train rammed into Kongu Express which was waiting at the platform.
The driver of the local train is reportedly still stuck in the engine and operation is underway to rescue him and other passengers.
The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The mishap is being attributed to a fault in the signal and it has affected the schedules of several trains.
