Bhawanipatna: Two members of a wedding band were killed and 24 injured when the pick-up van carrying them was hit by a speeding truck on National Highway-26 at Kalopala Chhack under Junagarh police limits in Kalahandi district late on Tuesday.
Those injured were rushed to Jayapatana hospital for treatment. Four critically injured were later shifted to Bhawanipatna hospital for better treatment.
The victims were returning back to Jayapatana after attending a wedding procession at Junagarh when the accident took place.
Eyewitnesses said that the mishap occurred apparently due to over speeding by the truck driver.
