Bhubaneswar: The state government has relaxed the promotion criteria for Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs) of police to the next level as Sub Inspectors (SIs).
According to a notification issued by Home Department on Friday, “Government has relaxed the eligibility criteria from seven years to five years for consideration of promotion of ASI of Police on one-time basis. This is done under clause 31 (relaxation) of Odisha Police Service (Condition of Service and Method of Recruitment of Sub-Inspector) Order, 2006.”
