Jajpur: Two young brothers went missing while bathing in Kharasrota river in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Thursday.
As per reports, 24-year-old Saswat Ranjan Swain and his younger brother Swastik Ranjan Swain, the sons of Sekhar Chandra swain of Sivanand Nagar under Jajpur Road police station in the district had gone to take bath in Khrasrota river at Jokadia in the afternoon.
They parked their bike on the river bank and went inside the river at Indiragadia ghat of the river. While bathing, a strong current dragged them into deep water of the river and went missing.
On being informed, a team from Jajpur Road police station along with an ODRAF team went to the spot. While the police started investigation, the Fire personnel launched a search operation. But they had not found the two brothers till the report was filed.
