Puri: Two youths from Uttar Pradesh reportedly drowned while taking bath in the sea here on Tuesday.
According to sources, some youths from other states had come to Bhubaneswar on Monday to appear for a test at the 120 Infantry Battalion in Bhubaneswar.
On Tuesday, some of them visited Puri. After reaching the Pilgrim Town, they went to the sea beach near Digabareni. While taking bath, two youths went deep into the sea. But they drowned by a sudden high tide.
At this, the other youths shouted for help. Following the incident, the life guards rushed to the spot and began search operation to trace the two missing youths, who have been identified as Anil Sikharwal and Vijay Paul of Uttar Pradesh.
