Bhubaneswar: The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup is just over a hundred days away. Odisha’s capital has been given the privilege of hosting India’s group league matches, which include a clash against traditional footballing powerhouse Brazil.
Hosts India will open their Group A campaign against the USA on October 11. They will then face off against Morocco on October 14, followed by the much-awaited Brazil fixture on October 17 at Kalinga Stadium.
Bhubaneswar apart, the two other venues for the mega event are Nehru Stadium in Goa’s Margao and DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
The tournament, which runs from October 11 to 30, will feature 16 teams divided into four groups. The top two from each group will advance to the knockout stage.
The final will be played at DY Patil Stadium.
