Bhubaneswar: The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2022 will host the first ‘Kick off The DreamTM Football Carnival’ in Odisha at the KIIT University Cricket Ground here on Saturday.

Hundreds of school children and their parents are expected to take part in the celebratory event in India’s ‘sports capital’, LOC said in a press release.

The carnival aims to break gender stereotypes by normalising inclusive participation through football-themed games and activities.

The LOC has already conducted three editions of the carnival successfully in Maharashtra and Goa.

The U-17 Women’s World Cup will be held at three venues — Bhubaneswar, Margao and Navi Mumbai — from October 11 to 30.
