U-17 Women’s World Cup: Odisha Capital Among Three Host Cities

Bhubaneswar: Three venues will host the U-17 Women’s World Cup from October 11 to 30 — Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa and DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, FIFA confirmed on Wednesday.

The draw for the tournament will be held in Zurich on June 24. Besides India, six countries Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Japan and New Zealand have confirmed participation so far. Sixteen teams will contest in the tournament.

Sarai Bareman, FIFA Chief Women’s Football Officer, said, “With qualifying ongoing around the world, we are very excited to announce the date of the draw, as well as confirm the three Host Cities for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2022.”
