UDAAN Celebrates International Women’s Day In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: UDAAN – (Beyond Dreams) celebrated International Women’s Day by organising a state-level conference at KSOM Auditorium, KIIT University, here on Tuesday.

Around 300 delegates from across the state participated in the daylong deliberation on the subject, followed by panel discussion and open house debate on various issues related to challenges faced by women and ways & means for their solutions for the sustainable tomorrow.

The programme was followed by theme-based classical dance performance by Nrutya Jyoti Dance Group, Cuttack.

Dr. Anu Bansal, first lady of Odisha Police and former deputy medical superintendent of AlIMS, Bhopal were the chief guests. Prof Asha Hans, EVP SMRC and founder director, Women’s Studies, Utkal University; Arun Kumar Bothra, State Transport Commissioner; Rekha Lohani, ADG, Crime Against Women & Children Wing; Arvind Agarwal, Director of Women & Child Development and Dr Monica, Chief of Field Office, UNICEF, Odisha attended the programme.
